Introducing the Klein Constantia 2021 Sauvignon Blanc

13 December, 2021

It started 40 years ago. Duggie Jooste, Ross Gower and Ernst le Roux had a vision. To create a unique and world class Sauvignon Blanc. In 1982, they planted 4.24 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc on the lower east-facing slopes of the estate. This vineyard produced the iconic 1986 maiden vintage of Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc. Over time the Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc grew in stature, becoming recognized throughout the world.

Now, 40 years on, building on the foundation put in place many years ago, we bring you a wine with a sense of place & unique style. Klein Constantia’s 2021 Sauvignon Blanc, is officially released – with a fresh look, but still distinct. Taste the evolution!

We’re #SeriousAboutSauvignon

7 May, 2021

To culminate with International Sauvignon Blanc day earlier this month, the Constantia Wine Route launched a varietal-based wine route, the Sauvignon Blanc Route. The brand new Constantia Sauvignon Blanc Route will be available at six estates across the Constantia Wine Route. In celebration of this, we have added a special SAUVIGNON BLANC TASTING to our wine tasting offerings. For R50pp, enjoy a curated tasting featuring our newly released 2020 Sauvignon Blanc as well as our 2017 vintage from MAGNUM.

Winemaker at Klein Constantia, Matthew Day, comments: “In the pursuit of elegance we strive to create a Sauvignon Blanc that is unique and represents our region. By doing this we create a serious style that respects the fact that Sauvignon Blanc is a noble cultivar.”
